AN INTRODUCTION TO THE WAVES IN SOUTHERN NICARAGUA
We have many great breaks in the area and often you can surf different types of waves from beach breaks to points or reef breaks in the same day. Casa Urraca is conveniently located at a cross roads with surf breaks in every direction. Out front, Popoyo is a short 5 minute drive. Playa Santana can be reached in fifteen minutes. Hacienda Iguana (Colorado) is twenty five minutes to the south. Offshore wind almost everyday will ensure good conditions all day long. April to September is prime time for south swells.
